If you are considering doing business with Generation GMC, be very careful — especially when it comes to trade-ins and lease payoffs. We traded in a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado on February 21st while leasing a 2026 GMC Sierra. We were clearly and repeatedly told by our salesperson that the dealership would handle the lease payoff through Jovia (Fusion), including remaining payments before the March 6th due date. That never happened. For over a month, we were given false information and reassured that everything was taken care of. Meanwhile, Jovia/Fusion had no record of any communication or payment from the dealership. The reality: Two missed payments were reported, damaging my husband’s credit We received a DMV notice that the registration was expiring We have now received a collections letter due to their failure to act The vehicle wasn’t even processed — it was sitting in the back of the lot, not listed for sale Only after physically going to the dealership on April 7th did they admit fault and send the payoff. Even more concerning, when we escalated this to management, they responded once to schedule a call — and then completely stopped responding. This goes far beyond poor customer service. This is a failure to handle financial obligations responsibly, and it had real consequences for us. It is extremely disappointing because the initial buying experience was positive, but the lack of accountability afterward completely changed our view. We will not be returning and strongly caution others to ensure every detail is handled properly before leaving this dealership.

I recently purchased a GMC Acadia from Generation GMC, the salesperson was Chris Oliveto He was knowledgeable about all the different vehicles. He made me feel comfortable. The purchase was just very easy and smooth. I am very happy I took the ride over there. Everyone was kind and helpful. I had a great experience. I never felt pressured to make a purchase.

Wow what a complete difference in professional service from Generation GMC in Sayville compared from King O'Rourke in Smithtown. Service department is amazing. They send you a video from the mechanic going over all the concerns that you have any what they found. I was constantly being told my oul leak was a seel. Thanks to Generation GMC they took the time to find the real cause and it's going to take a week to fix. Thank God had the issues at King O'Rourke otherwise I wouldn't have found an amazing dealership. Especially Thanks to Maria for keeping me updated.

This dealership had the most shady practices I’ve ever experienced in my life. They took a deposit from me and sold the car to someone else. I even had the car insured and was on the way to the dealership. Absolutely wild the salesman Oz continuing to lie and then John Greene the sales manager was so disrespectful and rude calling me Mr. Customer and eventually hanging up on me. A deal was agreed upon and then they decided to change the deal charging me thousands more and then effectively ripped someone else off harder and sold the car to them. STEER CLEAR.

Terrible service dept! never the same service advisor. car sat all day no work done. then had to pay for a diagnostic charge which they never told me about. they have lost my business forever and 2 GM cars

They just took my money and left me with a broken down vehicle. In November Of 2023 I purchased a Dodge Charger Rt with 75k miles in black. Thinking that I'm purchasing it from a reputable dealer, that I don't need to get it checked out by a third party mechanic boy was I wrong. This stealership sells nothing but used garbage, and sells it to the public. I've had the car for three months now and the service department has had it about half that time. First I was hearing banging, and clanking noises emulating from the front end when going over bumps in the road, felt like the wheels were going to fall off. Next they sold me the car with all different sizes and brands of tires, that were almost bald. Also the rear shocks, and exhaust systems also needed to be replaced under my dime to the tune of 2700 dollars of my money. So in February of 2024 I had the transmission serviced by the dealer, and a day later the transmission stops working and won't shift gears properly. So now the car needs an entire new transmission, a d it has been sitting there for three weeks already without any resolution in sight. Then I tried to have the Sales Managers get Involved considering the car has given me nothing but issues, and they are avoiding me. Making me sit there for hours, and not coming back to talk with me. So I gave up! According to my experience with Generation Buick And Gmc I would stay far away from these shady people, and go somewhere else! Their are plenty of other dealers in the area, that would appreciate your time, and money. They're just in it for the money, and not for the satisfaction of their customers. I had an appointment to meet with Joe Greene the Sales Manager to see if he could put me in a different car, but after waiting there for an hour for him to show his face again. The first car I picked out, I was told that I couldn't have that one, so I said forget this. They're giving me the a run around, and unfortunately I'm in no condition to argue with these money grabbing, incompetent individuals. It's sad too because I live right around the block from them, and they still managed to screw me.

I was the only customer in this place, salespeople had no customers. I looked at a vehicle n manager gave the salesman a price n never introduced himself. They made their one n only customer walk out. No sale. Management here is real bad. Their loss, not mine.
